In the 2016-17 school year Jeffco underwent a Colorado Gifted Education Review (C-GER) where a team from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) visited various schools in our district and talked to parents, educators, and students about gifted education in our district.
We received a great deal of valuable feedback from this process, and appreciate everyone who took time to provide input. You can view a copy of our C-GER report from CDE here.
In the 2022-23 school year, Jeffco will again have this process that is now called “Gifted Education Monitoring (GEM)”. We will be seeking feedback from various stakeholders, including students, families and educators, and the CDE team will be conducting focus groups and visiting schools while they are here.
